NanoLuc® luciferase reporter gene과 HiBiT tag은 크기가 작기 때문에 packaging이나 enzyme 활성에 영향을 주지 않고 바이러스 게놈에 삽입할 수 있어 생체 내 바이러스 과정을 쉽게 모니터링할 수 있습니다.

재조합 리포터 바이러스(recombinant reporter vírus)는 세포와 동물 모델에서 바이러스 life cycle과 치사율에 대한 이해를 높이는 중요한 tool입니다. 리포터 바이러스를 사용함으로 시간 변화에 따른 감염을 쉽게 추적하고 바이러스의 세포 내 진입 및 복제와 같은 현상을 정량화할 수 있습니다. 크기가 큰 리포터 유전자(예시. firefly luciferase)를 바이러스 게놈에 삽입하면 바이러스 과정에 영향을 주는 경우가 종종 발생하지만 크기가 작은 NanoLuc® luciferase와 HiBiT tag은 바이러스에 영향을 주지 않고 바이러스 게놈에 안정적으로 삽입될 수 있습니다. 아래의 article에서는 NanoLuc®과 NanoBiT® technology로 제작된 안정적인 리포터 바이러스를 이용하여 in vitro와 in vivo에서 바이러스 병원성 및 전파를 조사한 최근 연구를 소개합니다.
